3. Freshfields Breakfast Event- under-representation of women in the legal field in particular in arbitration and international law

The day after the GAR live, on 21 October Freshfields invites to a relaxed breakfast event from 10am to 1pm at 25hours Hotel, Vienna, to discuss the under-representation of women in the legal field in particular in arbitration and international law.

Some excellent prominent women in arbitration will tell “tales from the front line”, i.e. provide an insight into their personal experiences, the challenges they have faced on their journey and how, in their opinion, the goal of parity can best be achieved. You can look forward to listening to the experiences of Francesca Mazza, Secretary General of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), Ulrike Gantenberg, Partner, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Düsseldorf and Jennifer Younan, Partner, Shearman & Sterling LLP, Paris.

Natalie Berthier-Ortmann will provide an insight into the soft skills required for this goal of parity to be achieved. Key Note Speaker, Rashda Rana SC, Arbitral Women will conclude by giving her outlook on the further steps required to achieve gender parity.
