Dear Members of Arb|Aut,
No other personality in our field has been linked with the Vis Moot quite like Professor Dr. Eric E. Bergsten, its founder and honorary president.
It is therefore with great sadness that we have learned of Eric's recent passing. Through his establishment of the Vis Moot, he left an indelible impact on countless lives, inspiring many to pursue successful careers in arbitration and to continue to give to younger generations of lawyers as teachers, mentors, and friends.
His vision and enthusiasm united the arbitration community and fostered the growth of the Vis Moot into a global platform. We invite you to take a quiet moment to visit the website of the Vis Moot in Eric's honor.
May his memory continue to inspire us in our pursuit of justice and the peaceful resolution of disputes!
Very sincerely,
Stefan Riegler
