22 November 2023: YAAP Roundtable – “(Old) News Relating to the Conclusion of Arbitration Agreements”
At our next YAAP Roundtable, our YAAP Advisory Board Member Alexander Zollner (Wolf Theiss, Vienna) will speak on the topic of arbitration agreements. Practice shows that there are (still) various obstacles to the valid conclusion of an arbitration agreement. Alexander will focus on old as well as new challenges that can be faced when concluding an arbitration agreement – be it the requirement of a written special power of attorney, consumer protection or conclusion of the arbitration agreement by means of new technologies. Alexander will also brief you on certain pitfalls of the conclusion of valid arbitration agreements. Please join us to gain new practical insights on this topic and spend a nice evening together.

For the first time, YAAP, DIS40, ASAbelow40 and colleagues from Liechtenstein are organizing a below40-event at the occasion of the annual Vierländerkonferenz in Vienna. The below40-event is kindly hosted and supported by the WU Vienna. We can expect a keynote address Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christian Aschauer, followed by a panel of distinguished speakers from the four legal systems addressing the topic "Vollstreckungsfragen und -praktiken im deutschsprachigen Raum - ein Austausch zum NYÜ in der Praxis". 3 November 2023: Launch of the ADR Wellbeing Toolkit
VIAC and ARBBalance are launching the new initiative “ADR Wellbeing Toolbox”. The ADR Wellbeing Toolbox is aimed at promoting wellbeing among ADR professionals and works with experts to address topics such as resilience, work-life balance, leadership, capacity building, and more. The launch event will take place online tomorrow.

20 September 2023: YAAP Roundtable – “Is Your Investment Clean?”
Katherine Khan (Freshfields, Vienna) and Samuel Trujillo (Freshfields, Frankfurt) held a lively discussion on the interesting topic of whether the legality of the source of funds used for investments truly matters. We are very happy that many of you joined our last roundtable and actively participated in the discussion.
